About the Course

Internal audits are required by every ISO management system standard built on the common structure, and when they are done well they are one of the most useful tools a business has. This online course teaches the fundamentals of internal auditing for any ISO management system, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO/IEC 27001. It follows the guidance in ISO 19011:2026, Guidelines for auditing management systems, and the internal audit requirements in clause 9.2. It is written by a lead auditor with more than 20 years' experience and uses practical examples from small and medium-sized organisations. There are four short modules, each with a slide deck, a downloadable handout and a 10-question quiz, followed by a 20-question Final Assessment. Achieve 75% or more in the Final Assessment to receive your Certificate of Completion.
